Environmental Policy

Opticomm is committed to protecting the environment by conducting our operations in an environmentally responsible and ecologically sustainable manner.

This includes:

a. compliance with

1. ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems,
2. all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements including environmental legislation, codes of practice, compliance codes and Australian Standards,
3.  any other requirements placed upon Opticomm or to which it subscribes.

b. developing processes and procedures to identify, prevent and mitigate environmental impact,
c. a commitment to the prevention of pollution during our business activities both by ourselves and our sub-contractors,
d. considering the environment when planning for work, developing systems and decision making,
e. efficiently managing our operations in a way that minimises our impact on the environment,
f. ensuring employees are trained to conduct their activities in an environmentally responsible manner,
g. providing appropriate resources to establish and maintain the IMS,
h. establishing and achieving our environmental objectives, and
i. continually improving environmental performance.

All employees are:

a. responsible for the communication, enthusiastic promotion and implementation of this policy, and
b. accountable for the achievement of the environmental outcomes in accordance with this policy.

This policy will be communicated to employees at induction and be on display at the reception area of all Opticomm offices for the information of interested parties (including clients and members of the public).
