We regret to advise that due to increased construction costs, the insolvency of our main contractor and current market conditions, the Fibre to the Premise (FTTP) network rollout in Wamboin, Bywong and Sutton has been descoped.
Following consultation with the NSW Government, the project will not proceed in Wamboin and Bywong and parts of Sutton. Opticomm will continue fibre and lead-in connection works in parts of Sutton where the street network is completed. Registered residents in these areas will be contacted in early 2025 to arrange these works. Opticomm and the NSW Government acknowledge the frustration caused by project delays and the decision to descope the project.
